Wellness is a lifestyle that can have some amazing health benefits! According to internationally recognized Urologic Oncologist, Dr. Gregory Merrick, quality of life and overall survival can be positively influenced by thirty minutes of daily aerobic exercise along with resistance training 3 times per week.

It can also have some amazing health benefits. According to my doctor, thirty minutes of daily exercise can help you control your weight, sleep better, reduce fatigue and help lower the risk of depression and anxiety.

My daily exercise routine was based on my overall health and was prescribed for me by my doctor. The goal was to create a workout program that would improve my endurance and boost my muscle strength.

Everyday for 20 to 30 minutes, I walk or jog through my neighborhood or on a treadmill at the gym. Three times a week I include 10 to 15 minutes of resistance training and lifting weights. Whenever I workout at the gym instead of my home, a certified trainer who has consulted with my doctor oversees my exercise program.

Wellness is a lifestyle that requires a total commitment on your part. It won’t provide you with any health benefits unless you are all in. However, before you start any exercise or fitness program it is very important that you talk with your doctor in order to create a wellness program that is right for you.
